NYC WALKING TOURS
I can guide you down New York’s lively streets. We can explore those special cultural landmarks along secret urban places. I can tell you about the city’s history from the pre-colonial days to post-9/11, as well as share with you enthralling urban tales. We can walk and tour anywhere, anytime. My specialty though is Downtown Manhattan since this is where I have lived and created and participated in many cultural and social milieus the past 50 years. Greenwich Village, High Line, Soho, East Village, Lower East Side, Chinatown, Financial District ... In the early 80’s I homesteaded in the Alphabet City at a time believe it or not when “they couldn't give the buildings away” and have been a community gardener for 35 years. Still I‘ll walk and talk anywhere in the five bouroughs of New York. I will do custom tours of any subject of interest, too. Street Art, Revolutionary War, Immigrant History, Art Galleries, African-American History -- Just ask me what kind of tour you are interested and if I can't do it, I'll know other top tour guides who can.
